Saint David

St.David is the only Welsh saint to be canonized and culted in the Western church.It is a very important day for Welsh people,every people will be in a mood festive.They celebrate on 1st March.On that big event many people will wear either a daffodil or  a leek ,which are both sign of Wales. Moreover,Saint David's Day begins in many Welsh primary schools with a religious service.Furthermore,boys wear a  white shirt,a Welsh flannel waistcoat,black trousers,long wool socks and black shoes.Girls wear a petticoal and overcoat, made of Welsh flannel and a tall hat,worn over a frilled bonnet.In addition, most data about the Saint David comes from a biography written by Rhygyfarch in the eleventh century.However,it was written many years after the Saint's death, it isn't likely to be very  trustworthly.His mother,Non,was the daughter of a local chieftan and his father was a prince called Sant,son of the king of Cardigan.In other hand he was living an austere life devoted to God.

Research women MPs

Many years ago women in general has little power via men, like many women were staying at home to take care of their children,but little by little this traditions has changed . Nowadays women have made a lot of progress via to men. Women can become a pilote,drive car,working in big firms ,become MPs and so on .  In England the first women who was elected to the House of Commons was Countess Constance Markievicz in 1918,however she refused to her seat,as in it protest against Britain's Policy in Ireland moreover the first woman to be elected was  Viscountess Nancy Astor in 1919 who replaced  Countess Constance Markievicz and agree to take her seat.(REF : MPs UK Parliament). There are 4 female MP now in the England namely :The RT Hon (the Right Honorable ) Theresa May MP after the general election in May 2010 she was appointed Home Secretary and Ministry for women and Equalities,the RT Hon Caroline Spelman MP her role is Secretary of state for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs(dealing with farming),the RT Hon Cheryl  Gillan MP she is responsible for Secretary of State for Wales and lastly The RT Hon Baroness Warsi her duty is a Ministry without Portfolio.(http://www.bbc/. co.uk) .Furthermore there are  currently144 female MPs.

The UK Parliament

Parliament is The national Legislature of various countries,especially that of the United Kingdom made up of House of Lords and the House of Commons.House of Commons Democratically elected house,makes laws and checks the work of Government and House of Lords a forum of expertise,making laws and providing Scrutiny of Government.(http://www.parliament.uk/)
The two Houses of Parliament are:House of Commons and the House of Lords.The house of Lords has more power than House of Commons .In the UK there are 659 constituencies,in England there are 529 constituencies and in Scotland there are72 constituencies.No ,they are not the same geographical size.The candidate who has highest votes wins,even if they have only one vote than the other candidates wins the elections this system called the 'first past the post' system.The political party with most MPs forms the state.

The European Union

When European had a powerful economic and government institutions became greater attractive to some European politicalmen after the Second World War (1939-1945).They want to create a serene and flourishing Europe after the demolition of Second World Wars and after many 100 years of hostility and mutual disagreetment between the European powers.The Europe were established in 1957 when 6 countries (West Germany,the Nertherlands,Italy,Luxembourg,France and Belgium).40% of world trade belongs to the EU.The European Parliament ,the European Commission, the European Council,the European Court ot Justice and the Council of Ministers all these organization are here to manage EU.The Parliament is the only directly-elected body in the EU.Britain kept aside from European connections in the 1950s because saw its sucess in the trading patterns of the Commonwealth and a 'special relationship'with the American.
French President,Charles de Gaulle judged of Britain's associated with American (specially on nuclear weapons policies),asked many questions about the extent of engaging to Europe and arguably did not want Britain as a enemy to the leadership of the EEC.Harold Wilson a new Labour stated was promised to giving the British people a referendum that means a renegotiation of the terms of entry and was held in 1975 ,the first in British political history.Eurosceptic people who dislike , judged or say negative about EU whereas a Europhile people who like,say positive or want the success of EU.Swizerland is not a member in EU because the majority of Swiss people against being rule by parliament in Bruxelles and did not want to adopt European laws.(REF :ANSWER .COM -WHY IS SWITZERLAND NOT APART OF THE EU).A MORI poll in February 2005 results that 57% of Britains opposed the euro.
